ABOUT ME

I have been teaching for 23 years in a variety of Christian, private and public schools. I have taught English, Journalism/Yearbook, AP Lit, Drama, Bible, and Writing. Before that, I worked as a sportswriter, minor league baseball executive, and in marketing, advertising and graphic design.

I grew up in the Florida panhandle, and I’m a proud alumna of Auburn University. I have lived in Jacksonville since 2006, but I am getting married Aug, 29 and will be moving to Fernandina Beach. (That’s why I’m listed as Cowart, but my name will become Stapleton.) My fiancé and I are members of the Church of Eleven22.

I am so excited to be part of the inaugural year of the PEP Fernandina Campus. I can’t wait to get to know you and your families as we embark on this adventure together!
